About the Club
The CAL Alumni Club of Oakmont, founded in 1984 by a dedicated group of alumni, has been a cornerstone of support for students aspiring to attend the University of California, Berkeley and a source of connection, engagement, and camaraderie for CAL alumni and friends of CAL through its monthly dinner events.
Thanks to generous donations from its members and through its popular annual wine tasting event held each June, the club has contributed nearly $300,000 to two endowment funds administered by the California Alumni Association, specifically designed to assist students in need. In addition to these efforts, the club has also provided substantial support to graduates of Santa Rosa Junior College who are transferring to Berkeley, currently awarding $2,000 each to four deserving students annually.
The CAL Alumni Club of Oakmont remains committed to fostering educational opportunities and strengthening the bonds of the Berkeley community, ensuring that future generations of students can achieve their academic goals. You don’t have to be a CAL alum to join the club. The only requirement is a dedication to higher education and a desire to help students succeed.
